Jayalalitha was just another politician

Here are some facts about Jayalalitha
  • Jayalalitha father was a good-for-nothing person, who squandered family wealth.
  • Jayalalitha's father died when she was two years old. Girls, who grow up without a father, usually have low morals. Jayalalitha was no exception.
  • Jayalalitha's mother forced her into films when she was 15. Her first movie was an "Adult film".
  • Jayalalitha became famous as an actress mainly because she was willing to wear sexy dresses e.g. She was the first Tamil actress to wear sleeveless blouse and drench herself under a waterfall ensuring little is left to imagination of male audience.
  • Jayalalitha was caught watching a married actor with binoculars. She claimed to be love with this person named Shoban Babu.
  • Jayalalitha came into politics, not on merit, but because she was mistress of a chief minister MGR. She could not marry MGR, because MGR was already married. MGR was unwilling to divorce his wife for her.
  • Jayalalitha opponent party attacked her physically in Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Even though she wasn't injured physically, she played victim and compared herself with Draupadi of Mahabharata. She gained sympathy of people by giving photo sessions in a torn sari (which was accidentally torn in the attack). This sympathy wave was responsible for the victory of her party and she rose to become chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
  • Jayalalitha was disqualified because of her disproportionate assets. The court ordered four years imprisonment and fine of Rs 100 crores. In simple words, she took bribes. But she appealed against the decision. Because her party was allies with party at Center, she was acquitted in higher court.
  • Jayalalitha was essentially a show woman, master in drama rather than substance. Under her leadership, Tamil Nadu remained mostly poor. She did not believe in reducing taxes, small government and more freedom to people. She increased rules and regulations in state; the size of government increased and so did the bribes for politicians.
History will not grieve the death of this corrupt politician.

Demonetization will not reduce black money

When Demonetization was started, one of the main reasons given by Indian government to justify it was, "Black money will reduce."
But, Indians have found ways to convert their black money to white e.g.

  1. Some people have bought gold with old currency.
  2. Some people have used a dummy account to deposit black money.
  3. Some people have purchased real estate by paying a major portion cash in old demonetized notes. The builder will show the old notes as received for some fake contract just before demonetization. So the builder will convert the black money to white easily.

Indian government cannot ban cash, because in many places only cash is accepted practically e.g.

  1. Purchasing stamps in Post-office
  2. Purchasing railway ticket in Mumbai for local trains
  3. Purchasing BEST bus ticket in Mumbai
So the deposited black money will slowly come to market as cash. In a few months, the cash in market will be same as before. So there will be no major change in black money in India.

Demonetization has nothing to do with corruption

Corruption happens because government has created too many rules and regulations. People are forced to take permission for small actions they take. Bribes have to be paid to government.

  • India has a rule that car driver must wear seat belt. Now, whenever a policeman catches someone not wearing seat belt, a bribe of about ₹100 is paid quietly. Why did Indian government pass the rule that car seat belt is mandatory?
India could have educated drivers; it could have recommended the same. But education and recommendation don't bring bribes. It is driver's life. He should have the freedom to decide whether he wants to wear a seat belt or not. By stealing the rights/freedom of citizens, the government gets its power and bribes.
  • India has a complex set of rules regarding taxation. So if Income tax official calls / visits you, the official can easily find some rule that has been broken to pay lesser tax. So Indians quietly pay bribes to income tax official
E.g. If you purchase a house in Mumbai, you will get a notice from Income tax. You will have to pay a bribe of few hundred thousand because every one knows that no real-estate transaction is possible without a percentage being paid in cash.
If India did not have any income tax, but instead just had a transaction tax (10% on cash withdrawals and 1% on electronic transaction); then there would be no income tax department. There would no bribes paid to income tax officials. The government would still get its revenue. By creating income tax rules, the government has ensure bribes are paid.

Indian government says that the goal of demonetization is to reduce corruption. If corruption was really the goal, Modi would reduce rules and regulations. Demonetization will not achieve the goal of reducing corruption. So demonetization is a farce.

India is a corrupt country; but a child is not born corrupt. If a infant, born in India, is taken to New Zealand (a country with minimal corruption) at birth; will the child grow up to be corrupt person?
People are not corrupt by birth. They learn that to survive and thrive in a corrupt environment, they learn to give and take bribes.
The more rules and regulations in a country, the more corrupt it is. Reducing rules and regulations essentially pulls the rug under the feet of corruption.

Modi would be a fool if he doesn't knows this. His goal was never to reduce corruption with demonetization. The real reason for demonetization is something much different.

It happens only in India

Millions of cases are pending in courts. Indian government prioritized passing of law, "Indians will listen to national anthem before watching movies."
In no other country throughout world, people are made to listen national anthem before watching movies. Are non-indians not patriotic to their countries? Will Indians become patriotic by this law?

Indian government says, for income tax purposes married women are allowed 500gms of gold, unmarried women 250 gms and men 100gms. Why this disparity?
If I am a man, and I want to wear a gold of more than 100gms, why should I not be allowed to keep gold of more than 100gms? Why separate limits for women and men? Is Indian government not sexist? Which other country, throughout world, has these absurd laws?

Indian government wants to create a new Aadhar based payment system.
Why create a new system? Worldwide people are paying by their mobile using Apple pay or Google pay. These payment systems are backed up with a credit or debit card of your choice.
If entire world is using one system, why does Indian government want to create a new system? Why not use the same system as used throughout world?

This why, in developed countries, they say most Indians are not-rational. Their decisiions are based mostly on emotions. They lack critical thinking.
