Madaari movie released in 2016

Some dialogues from this movie

  • Government is not corrupt; Government exists solely for corruption.
  • Government is contractor, opposition is contractor. Both have to join hands in any big scam.
  • Governments exploit because people are divided over religion, race, gender, state, etc. Politicians work to keep the people divided because united citizes will not tolerate the injustice of high taxes, unnecessary rules, huge bureaucracy, etc.
  • Imagine a boot stamping a human face; the boot is the government and the face represents the common people.
  • Politicians are not here to serve citizens; they are here to steal.
  • Assembly, Parliament, etc are only for show to convince people that politicians are in fact working to solve their problems.
  • People are given party tickets because of what they can donate to the party.
  • Politicians make rules and give power to bureaucrats because of what they can give in return.
  • The primary job of politicians is to show dreams; stupid people believe in these dreams and vote for these politicians.
  • Wealth is transferred from people to politicians under the guise of development. Example: When a road is to be built, before the plan is approved, friends/relatives of politicians buy nearby land. This land is then sold at higher prices.
  • Politicians come and go; parties (Congress, BJP, AAP, etc) will come and go; but business (of politics) will go on as usual.
  • Stick, guns, police, constitution, etc exist to frighten common people; keep citizens under control.

The solution is not to replace one government with another; one politician with another. The real solution is move away from government; reduce power of politicians/government, so that they cannot steal.

My notes: Vote of person/party that promises and has a history of

  • Reducing taxes.
  • Privatization.
  • Reduction in rules/regulations.
  • Reduction in subsidies.
If you cannot find such a person/party; please don't vote.

War in 2016/17

Who wants war? The farmer, mechanic and other common people, in every country, don't want war. Politicians want war so that

  • They can blame the economic problems of the country on the war
  • They can raise taxes, steal freedom and gain more power.

Indian economy is faltering. Pakistan's economy is not good. China's banks are facing losses due to real estate bubble bursting. No private investor is willing to purchase Japanese bonds at these low rates. Many middle east countries are facing conflict. Europe is breaking apart. USA has record low interest rates. Politicians don't want to accept responsibilities for all these problems. They would rather blame all these problems on some other country and declare war.

So war will likely come in coming months in some part of the world. All economic problems will be blamed on this war. Stocks will fall. Real estate will fall. Currencies will fall. Oil and Gold/Silver will rise. Inflation will be high. But ignorant people will support their corrupt governments and quietly accept the problems, apparently created by war.

What to do during Ganesh Chaturthi festival?

During this festival,

  • Some of my neighbors want me to come to their house and participate in Puja.
  • The colony, where I live, wants to keep Ganesh idol and they want some donation from me.
  • Some people tell me that I should pray everyday. That is much better than once a year praying, during this festival
  • Some friends wants me to donate my time/money to poor/under-privileged rather than "wasting" it on some illusory "God".

I believe in "World perfection through Self perfection". I have to constantly improve myself and for this purpose I will do whatever is necessary e.g.

  • If praying helps to calm my mind, I will do it.
  • If donating for an idol in my colony helps me, I will do it.
  • If praying everyday helps, then I will do it.
  • If serving poor is want benefits me, then I will do that.

We have no control over others; we have control over ourselves. If we try to constantly improve ourselves, it is likely that the people around us will also benefit.
If I have many flaws, then no matter what I do during this festival, I will only cause problems for myself and people around me.

Impact of 7th pay commission

As soon as the 7th pay commission is approved, it would result in 24% hike in salaries for government employees. This means the budget deficit will increase. So government will have to raise taxes. Higher taxes cause growth to slow.
Since already India has high taxes, the government will also have to print currency to cover deficit. So inflation will rise.
As growth slows, the interest rates will have to be dropped to prevent systematic collapse.

Thus, the impact of 7th pay commission approval is

  • Inflation will rise
  • Taxes will rise
  • Growth will slow down
  • Interest rates will fall
  • Gold/Silver will rise
  • Stocks will fall
  • Real estate sales will fall further

If Indian government is interested in welfare of common people, then it will reject the 7th pay commission.

Salman Khan's rape comment

Salman Khan said, "Wrestlers fight once or twice in a real fight; during the shooting of Sultan, I had to the act 10 times. For 6 to 7 hours, either I am picking up or am throwing someone. So it was very difficult. When I used to walk out of that (wrestling) ring, it used to be actually like a raped woman walking out.".
Immediately, the media started attacking Salman. The attack was so intense that Salman and his father apologized for the comment, but the attacks continue.

There is nothing wrong in Salman's statement. There is no need for him to apologize, let alone his father. The media is wrong in attacking Salman before and after the apology.

Only Salman knows how he felt after a tough scene; Only a raped woman knows her feelings after the incident. Others can only guess about their feelings. They have no proof to prove anyone false. Not all actors would feel the same after a tough fight scene; probably not all women would feel the same after a rape (since the brutality varies in a huge spectrum). So why cannot Salman feel like some raped woman?

We should support Salman Khan and condemn those who attack him for his feelings. These attackers are sexist, think that only women suffer and deny tough-looking man the right to express his feelings.

Politics drives everything in India

A few months ago, BJP government decided to build a bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad; even though it will be a financial disaster. Reference.
Why did BJP decide to build this bullet train?
The toll roads between Mumbai and Ahmedabad are controlled by BJP's political opponent Sharad Pawar. By building this bullet train, BJP wants to undercut the huge toll collected in cash (no taxes) by Sharad Pawar and thereby weaken him.
Why build the bullet train only till Mumbai, and not Pune? There is lot of traffic between Mumbai and Pune too.
The toll road between Mumbai and Pune is controlled by a BJP politician Gadkari. BJP wants the revenue (in cash with no taxes) received by its policians to remain intact.

Why is RBI governor Rajan being forced to quit?
Rajan was appointed by Chidambaram, a Congress politician. BJP does not want, anyone close to Congress, in an important position. So Rajan has been privately indicated that he should drop out of the race on his own; since he will anyway not receive any extension.
Rajan had done a reasonably good job as RBI governor. When currencies of many countries (Russia, Brazil, etc) were falling; Rajan's high interest rates ensured that Indian rupee was strong.
In India, performance does not dictate government decision; it is whom you know; with what political party are you associated with.

Hyperinflation or Debt default

The world economy has two options, ONLY TWO i.e.

  1. Hyperinflation or
  2. Default on debt.

Hyperinflation: World banks will keep dropping interest rates. In many coutries, interest rates will be near zero. Inflation will be high. People will spend currency as soon as possible, because the value of currency will fall fast. People holding cash, bonds, fixed deposits, etc will lose. Wealth will be transferred to people invested in real estate, stocks, gold, silver and other physical assets.

Default on Debt: Interest will rise dramatically. There will a worldwide depresstion. Stocks will fall. Currency invested in bods, fixed deposits, etc will be lost. Real estate will fall. People holding their wealth in stocks, real estate, fixed deposits, etc will lose. Wealth will be transferred to people holding cash in their hands, gold, silver, etc.

US, Canada, China India, etc and most countries, are currently on the path of hyperinflation; because interest rates have been falling. Should any country start raising interest rates, then it is on the path of Default of debt.
