Demonetization will not reduce black money

When Demonetization was started, one of the main reasons given by Indian government to justify it was, "Black money will reduce."
But, Indians have found ways to convert their black money to white e.g.

  1. Some people have bought gold with old currency.
  2. Some people have used a dummy account to deposit black money.
  3. Some people have purchased real estate by paying a major portion cash in old demonetized notes. The builder will show the old notes as received for some fake contract just before demonetization. So the builder will convert the black money to white easily.

Indian government cannot ban cash, because in many places only cash is accepted practically e.g.

  1. Purchasing stamps in Post-office
  2. Purchasing railway ticket in Mumbai for local trains
  3. Purchasing BEST bus ticket in Mumbai
So the deposited black money will slowly come to market as cash. In a few months, the cash in market will be same as before. So there will be no major change in black money in India.
