Jayalalitha was just another politician

Here are some facts about Jayalalitha
  • Jayalalitha father was a good-for-nothing person, who squandered family wealth.
  • Jayalalitha's father died when she was two years old. Girls, who grow up without a father, usually have low morals. Jayalalitha was no exception.
  • Jayalalitha's mother forced her into films when she was 15. Her first movie was an "Adult film".
  • Jayalalitha became famous as an actress mainly because she was willing to wear sexy dresses e.g. She was the first Tamil actress to wear sleeveless blouse and drench herself under a waterfall ensuring little is left to imagination of male audience.
  • Jayalalitha was caught watching a married actor with binoculars. She claimed to be love with this person named Shoban Babu.
  • Jayalalitha came into politics, not on merit, but because she was mistress of a chief minister MGR. She could not marry MGR, because MGR was already married. MGR was unwilling to divorce his wife for her.
  • Jayalalitha opponent party attacked her physically in Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. Even though she wasn't injured physically, she played victim and compared herself with Draupadi of Mahabharata. She gained sympathy of people by giving photo sessions in a torn sari (which was accidentally torn in the attack). This sympathy wave was responsible for the victory of her party and she rose to become chief minister of Tamil Nadu.
  • Jayalalitha was disqualified because of her disproportionate assets. The court ordered four years imprisonment and fine of Rs 100 crores. In simple words, she took bribes. But she appealed against the decision. Because her party was allies with party at Center, she was acquitted in higher court.
  • Jayalalitha was essentially a show woman, master in drama rather than substance. Under her leadership, Tamil Nadu remained mostly poor. She did not believe in reducing taxes, small government and more freedom to people. She increased rules and regulations in state; the size of government increased and so did the bribes for politicians.
History will not grieve the death of this corrupt politician.

Demonetization will not reduce black money

When Demonetization was started, one of the main reasons given by Indian government to justify it was, "Black money will reduce."
But, Indians have found ways to convert their black money to white e.g.

  1. Some people have bought gold with old currency.
  2. Some people have used a dummy account to deposit black money.
  3. Some people have purchased real estate by paying a major portion cash in old demonetized notes. The builder will show the old notes as received for some fake contract just before demonetization. So the builder will convert the black money to white easily.

Indian government cannot ban cash, because in many places only cash is accepted practically e.g.

  1. Purchasing stamps in Post-office
  2. Purchasing railway ticket in Mumbai for local trains
  3. Purchasing BEST bus ticket in Mumbai
So the deposited black money will slowly come to market as cash. In a few months, the cash in market will be same as before. So there will be no major change in black money in India.

Friday 2 December 2016

Demonetization has nothing to do with corruption

Corruption happens because government has created too many rules and regulations. People are forced to take permission for small actions they take. Bribes have to be paid to government.

  • India has a rule that car driver must wear seat belt. Now, whenever a policeman catches someone not wearing seat belt, a bribe of about ₹100 is paid quietly. Why did Indian government pass the rule that car seat belt is mandatory?
India could have educated drivers; it could have recommended the same. But education and recommendation don't bring bribes. It is driver's life. He should have the freedom to decide whether he wants to wear a seat belt or not. By stealing the rights/freedom of citizens, the government gets its power and bribes.
  • India has a complex set of rules regarding taxation. So if Income tax official calls / visits you, the official can easily find some rule that has been broken to pay lesser tax. So Indians quietly pay bribes to income tax official
E.g. If you purchase a house in Mumbai, you will get a notice from Income tax. You will have to pay a bribe of few hundred thousand because every one knows that no real-estate transaction is possible without a percentage being paid in cash.
If India did not have any income tax, but instead just had a transaction tax (10% on cash withdrawals and 1% on electronic transaction); then there would be no income tax department. There would no bribes paid to income tax officials. The government would still get its revenue. By creating income tax rules, the government has ensure bribes are paid.

Indian government says that the goal of demonetization is to reduce corruption. If corruption was really the goal, Modi would reduce rules and regulations. Demonetization will not achieve the goal of reducing corruption. So demonetization is a farce.

India is a corrupt country; but a child is not born corrupt. If a infant, born in India, is taken to New Zealand (a country with minimal corruption) at birth; will the child grow up to be corrupt person?
People are not corrupt by birth. They learn that to survive and thrive in a corrupt environment, they learn to give and take bribes.
The more rules and regulations in a country, the more corrupt it is. Reducing rules and regulations essentially pulls the rug under the feet of corruption.

Modi would be a fool if he doesn't knows this. His goal was never to reduce corruption with demonetization. The real reason for demonetization is something much different.

It happens only in India

Millions of cases are pending in courts. Indian government prioritized passing of law, "Indians will listen to national anthem before watching movies."
In no other country throughout world, people are made to listen national anthem before watching movies. Are non-indians not patriotic to their countries? Will Indians become patriotic by this law?

Indian government says, for income tax purposes married women are allowed 500gms of gold, unmarried women 250 gms and men 100gms. Why this disparity?
If I am a man, and I want to wear a gold of more than 100gms, why should I not be allowed to keep gold of more than 100gms? Why separate limits for women and men? Is Indian government not sexist? Which other country, throughout world, has these absurd laws?

Indian government wants to create a new Aadhar based payment system.
Why create a new system? Worldwide people are paying by their mobile using Apple pay or Google pay. These payment systems are backed up with a credit or debit card of your choice.
If entire world is using one system, why does Indian government want to create a new system? Why not use the same system as used throughout world?

This why, in developed countries, they say most Indians are not-rational. Their decisiions are based mostly on emotions. They lack critical thinking.

The real reason behind demonetization

The Indian government cities various reasons for demonetization, namely to reduce

  • black money
  • terrorism financing
  • duplicate currency
These may be side benefits of demonetization, but the real reason of demonetization is totally different. The real reason is that BJP should win upcoming elections.

In India, crores are spent during elections. If a politician does not spend this amount, he/she will likely neither get a party backing nor win. A major part of this amount is spent in cash. BJP has eliminated ₹500 and ₹1000 notes a few weeks before election and allowed only a paltry sum to be withdrawn as cash from bank accounts. It is likely that BJP has made cash arrangements before making the public announcement of the ban.
So now BJP has the cash, but all opposition parties have no cash. How will the opposition parties conduct rallies, gatherings, etc. The opposition's life blood has been sucked out by making their cash unusable and accounts frozen.
So BJP has a major advantage in upcoming elections.

However, BJP leaders probably did not foresee a side-effect of demonetization. Lot of poor and middle-class people are impacted by this decision. They are facing hardships. So these voters may be driven to cash-starved opposition.

Demonetization is BJP's gamble. No single opposition party can now face BJP. All opposition parties have to get together and then fight BJP in coming elections. Only time will tell whether this gamble of Demonetization benefits BJP or not.

Withdraw maximum cash possible every week

In India, people can withdraw cash maximum ₹24,000. This limit will likely not be removed. The limit may change over time, but Indians will never be allowed unlimited cash withdrawals from their a/c.

If Indians are allowed unlimited cash withdrawals, then black money will return in a few years. The government's demonitization effort will go waste. So the limits will never be removed.

Indians should

  • Withdraw maximum cash permitted every week.
  • Open bank a/cs for every family member e.g. children because the limit is for each bank a/c.
  • Pay by check/card/mobile wallet where ever possible.
  • Use cash where electronic payment is not possible or inconvenient.
  • Learn crypto-currency like Bitcoin because these cannot be tracked or restricted by governments.

A move towards cashless society is preferred by governments because

  • It leads to more taxes. Cash transactions are easier to hide.
  • It reduces imports of gold/silver. (Gold/Silver are usually purchased in cash). This makes the local currency stronger.
  • Small crimes are reduced because less cash is being circulated.
  • If more currency in in bank deposits the government can steal more from citizens via inflation.
  • The government can confiscate the wealth of its citizens anytime easily.

How should city transport be?

No matter how many roads are buit in a crowded city, the roads have a traffic jam. So here I will mention one possible solution to solve traffic needs of a city.

  1. The city will have buses and shared taxis.
  2. When a passenger is about to start a journey, a mobile app will tell him the nearest pick up point. The passenger may need a short walk to this pick-up point.
  3. The passenger will board the bus / shared taxi.
  4. If there is no direct route to destination, the passenger may have to change bus/shared taxi.
  5. The passenger will be dropped off near his destination. The passenger may need a short walk to his actual destination.

The above method

  • May involve the use of trains/metros
  • Each vehicle will be tracked by GPS
  • The passenger will be charged for his rides electronically, since the mobile app tracked the ride.
  • Will save fuel because it will increase the occupancy rate in buses/cars.
For more details see video

Indian mobile wallets will not get popular

If I am using Paytm (one mobile wallet in India) and you are using FreeCharge (another mobile wallet in India), then I cannot pay you using my mobile wallet i.e. mobile wallets are not inter-operable.
Imagine if a Vodafone (one telecom operator) customer could not call Airtel (another telecom opeator) customer in India. Then mobile calls would never be popular.

If Indian government wants to go cashless, then it must ask every Indian mobile wallet company to make their app inter-operable with others. So a Paytm user can pay a FreeCharge user.

Without having proper infra-structure / rules in place, cashless will remain a dream.

How rich Indians are converting currency from black to white?

A rich person has say ₹10 crores in demonetized notes of ₹500 and ₹1000. He will ask his servant (say driver) to deposit the currency in his savings account. After the deposit is made, the driver will buy, on paper only, say an expensive painting for nearly ₹10 crores. Thus almost the entire amount will be transferred to an account controlled by rich person.
The driver will asked to leave the city. The income tax people will not be able to find the driver easily.

The black ₹10 crores has been converted into nearly ₹9.5 crores white. The driver and bank officials have been paid nearly ₹50 lakhs bribe. The rich person has not done anything illegal i.e. he has only sold something for ₹9.5 crores. So the rich person, with black money, cannot be prosecuted easily.

How to do demonetization or demonetization 101

Here is a dummies guide for demonetization. A few weeks before demonetization:
  • Issue rule that all tolls booths, petrol pumps, buses, railways, city restaurants, post offices, etc have to accept payment by credit/debit cards, mobile wallets, etc; in addition to cash.
  • Raise the limits on mobile wallets.
  • Issue rule that while purchasing any item, the buyer has a choice to pay by card, mobile wallet, etc.
  • Allow road side shops to load mobile wallets with cash and vice versa.
  • Upgrade ATMs so that they can dispense new notes.
  • Print enough new notes and disburse them at the start of demonetization
  • Allow foreigners coming and people going abroad unlimited exchange at international airports, as long as they show their passport and ticket.
As soon as demonetization begins
  • Customers can go their banks any time for deposit/withdrawal/exchange
  • Foreigners and senior citizens only allowed in other banks for first 2 days.
  • Women also allowed in other banks for next 2 days
  • After 4 days, men can also exchange in other banks.
The Indian government did not plan the demonetization well. It is causing problems for citizens. By planning well, the demonetization would have been a lot smoother for the poor.

Modi will fail to clean black money

Modi has made ₹500 and ₹1000 notes illegal. He says that this will reduce black money. I think not. Black money will come back with a vengeance within few years.
The conditions that cause black money remain as before. If black money was generated before, it will be generated after the notes are banned.

If Modi really wanted to eliminate black money, he would

  • Eliminate income tax and wealth tax.
  • Put a charge of say 10% on cash withdrawal from banks.
  • Put a charge of say 0.1% on all electronic transactions.
This will immediately permanently eliminate all black money. Since there is no income/wealth tax, all money is white. There will never be a black money problem, ever in India.

But a dishonest person will never take these steps, because

  • A dishonest politician wants to steal from poor / middle class; not his rich friends.
  • If there is a flat tax then the politician's friends will also have to pay taxes. That is not acceptable to corrupt government.
  • Using the sword of income tax, a corrupt government wants power to harass his opponents.

Sunday 13 November 2016

Queues outside banks will continue till Dec 30

Rich people, with black money in cash, are willing to pay ₹500 for a cash exchange of ₹4,000.
The government has permitted a cash exchange of ₹4,000 per person till 30-Dec. Rich people are paying poor people to stand in queue outside bank. On paper, the poor person is exchanging ₹4,000; but of this ₹3,500 goes to the rich person.
The poor person stands outside one branch on day one; another bank on day two; and so on. Each day he/she will try to stand outside a different branch/bank.

So queues outside banks will never subside. They will continue till the last day of 30-Dec. If the government extends the deadline by one month, the queues will continue for one more month.

How can India go cashless?

For a country to go cashless, there should be one payment method accepted everywhere e.g. Using Google pay or Apple pay in London.
In London, while boarding a train (called tube), the passenger holds his mobile near a wireless device. After getting down at destination, the passenger again hold his mobile near similar device. The charges of the rail travel are automatically deducted form his chosen form of payment i.e. MasterCard, Visa, etc. While boarding a bus in London, the passenger shows his mobile to a wireless device and charges for the travel are automatically deducted. A cup of coffee, purchased at local tea stall, can be paid via mobile. Malls expect payment with mobiles. All cabs (called black taxis) accept payment via mobile.
In India say Mumbai for example, there is one card for electronic payment in buses. There is a separate card for electronic payment while traveling in metro rail. While traveling by regular rail, there is a separate card or mobile app. Auto rickshaws and cabs (yellow taxis) in Mumbai accept only cash.
In India, not only does each city/state have different forms of incompatible electronic payment methods, but multiple electronic payment methods exist within the same city. Also, many agencies accept only cash. So, for convenience, most people just pay by cash throughout India.

If India has to move towards a society with limited cash, then

  • All transports (bus, trains, metros), toll stations, post-offices, petrol stations, etc must accept payment from mobile wallet e.g. Paytm.
  • Since multiple mobile wallets exist in India, they should be inter-operable i.e. one person, using Paytm mobile wallet, can pay to another person, using Airtel Money mobile wallet.
  • There should be no extra charge while using mobile wallet, just like there is no extra charge while using cash.
  • The existing transaction limits for mobile wallet payments should be raised significantly.
  • People should be allowed to charge their mobiles wallets with cash and withdraw cash from their mobile wallets.

India cannot go completely cashless. No corrupt country can go cashless. Bribes are the engine oil that makes the corrupt economies run. Making a corrupt country totally cashless, will cause its economy to come to a stand-still.
Totally cashless society is a dream of governments. It has not yet been achieved anywhere in world. So how can India become totally cashless?

Tuesday 8 November 2016

India bans existing ₹500 and ₹1000 notes

The official reason for this ban is to curb black money and eliminate fake notes from the system. These reasons are fake

  • Indian government since Independence is trying to eliminate black money. So why is there a need to ban notes now? The reason is clearly fake.
  • Fake notes could have been eliminated by announcing a future date (6 months in advance) before actually banning the notes. So even this reason is fake.

The government says it will bring new ₹500 and ₹2000 notes. But these will take many months (maybe years) to come into main stream circulation.
The real reason for banning these notes is that the government wants to squeeze more taxes from people. It becomes more difficult to hide transactions when people are forced to use electronic payments.

So the Indian government will deliberately delay mass scale printing of new ₹500 and ₹2000 notes. Indians should

  • Start using mobile payment apps (like Paytm), instead of cash.
  • Hoard food items as in short run shortages may develop.
  • Withdraw as much cash as possible from banks.
  • Load multiple currency transaction apps (Paytm, FreeCharge, MobiKwik, Airtel Money, Vodafone M-pesa and Oxigen Wallet) on your mobile and distribute transactions among them.
  • Protest against government's decision to ban cash by voting for opposition parties in coming state elections.

Removal of a currency from the market is deflationary. There will be job losses in private sector. The stock market will fall. Real estate prices will fall.
To combat this deflation, the government will reduce interest rates (and reserve ratios for banks) by a huge percentage. Expect your EMI to get lesser, but this may not be of net benefit for most people because inflation will rise.

If you have a lot of black money in cash, then

  1. Buy physical gold/silver at your local jeweler.
  2. Gold is about ₹31,500 for 10gms, but you will have to shell out a much higher amount e.g. ₹50,000 while paying cash.
  3. The jeweler will likely bribe some officials to convert the black money to white. Hence this huge margin over official gold/silver price.
  4. You can sell gold/silver for cash a few months later, when enough new cash has entered the system.
You will likely lose a huge percentage of your black money, thanks to Modi.

Renunciation

Renunciation is NOT

  • Living in solitude
  • Eating once a day
  • Any external appearance e.g. shaving head, wearing special clothes, etc.
  • Chanting some special scriptures.
  • Meditating with closed eyes.
  • Allowing others to insult / harm you.
In fact, all above forms of renunciation are likely to cause more harm than good, when unaccompanied by a mental maturity.

Real Renunciation is living in peace with oneself. The person may live in solitude or in a crowd. The person may eat any number of times a day. The person may not wear any special clothes. The person may not know scriptures. The person may not meditate with closed eyes. The person may use violence for self-defense.
Real Renunciation is difficult because it involves giving up of wrong ideas and accepting the Truth about oneself.
Real Renunciation is difficult. Fake renunciation (living in solitude, etc) are relatively easy.

USA elections

Personally I am endorsing Gary Johnson for President, but it does not seem likely that he will win. So in my opinion, the outcome during the next few weeks is mentioned below.

Friday 7 October 2016

Indian spectrum auction fails.

Indian government conducted an auction for sale of spectrum. The auction earned about 11% of the expected revenue. So overall the auction was a failure.

The question is why did the auction fail?
The auction failed because government bureaucrats decided the price of the spectrum. Ideally, the market should decide the price of the spectrum.

The auction is conducted by bidding. So the base price can be kept very small. If the spectrum deserves a higher price, then during bidding the price will rise to the level that market is willing to pay.

The failure in spectrum auction shows the incompetency of Indian government. The respective minister and bureaucrats should resign.

Madaari movie released in 2016

Some dialogues from this movie

  • Government is not corrupt; Government exists solely for corruption.
  • Government is contractor, opposition is contractor. Both have to join hands in any big scam.
  • Governments exploit because people are divided over religion, race, gender, state, etc. Politicians work to keep the people divided because united citizes will not tolerate the injustice of high taxes, unnecessary rules, huge bureaucracy, etc.
  • Imagine a boot stamping a human face; the boot is the government and the face represents the common people.
  • Politicians are not here to serve citizens; they are here to steal.
  • Assembly, Parliament, etc are only for show to convince people that politicians are in fact working to solve their problems.
  • People are given party tickets because of what they can donate to the party.
  • Politicians make rules and give power to bureaucrats because of what they can give in return.
  • The primary job of politicians is to show dreams; stupid people believe in these dreams and vote for these politicians.
  • Wealth is transferred from people to politicians under the guise of development. Example: When a road is to be built, before the plan is approved, friends/relatives of politicians buy nearby land. This land is then sold at higher prices.
  • Politicians come and go; parties (Congress, BJP, AAP, etc) will come and go; but business (of politics) will go on as usual.
  • Stick, guns, police, constitution, etc exist to frighten common people; keep citizens under control.

The solution is not to replace one government with another; one politician with another. The real solution is move away from government; reduce power of politicians/government, so that they cannot steal.

My notes: Vote of person/party that promises and has a history of

  • Reducing taxes.
  • Privatization.
  • Reduction in rules/regulations.
  • Reduction in subsidies.
If you cannot find such a person/party; please don't vote.

War in 2016/17

Who wants war? The farmer, mechanic and other common people, in every country, don't want war. Politicians want war so that

  • They can blame the economic problems of the country on the war
  • They can raise taxes, steal freedom and gain more power.

Indian economy is faltering. Pakistan's economy is not good. China's banks are facing losses due to real estate bubble bursting. No private investor is willing to purchase Japanese bonds at these low rates. Many middle east countries are facing conflict. Europe is breaking apart. USA has record low interest rates. Politicians don't want to accept responsibilities for all these problems. They would rather blame all these problems on some other country and declare war.

So war will likely come in coming months in some part of the world. All economic problems will be blamed on this war. Stocks will fall. Real estate will fall. Currencies will fall. Oil and Gold/Silver will rise. Inflation will be high. But ignorant people will support their corrupt governments and quietly accept the problems, apparently created by war.

What to do during Ganesh Chaturthi festival?

During this festival,

  • Some of my neighbors want me to come to their house and participate in Puja.
  • The colony, where I live, wants to keep Ganesh idol and they want some donation from me.
  • Some people tell me that I should pray everyday. That is much better than once a year praying, during this festival
  • Some friends wants me to donate my time/money to poor/under-privileged rather than "wasting" it on some illusory "God".

I believe in "World perfection through Self perfection". I have to constantly improve myself and for this purpose I will do whatever is necessary e.g.

  • If praying helps to calm my mind, I will do it.
  • If donating for an idol in my colony helps me, I will do it.
  • If praying everyday helps, then I will do it.
  • If serving poor is want benefits me, then I will do that.

We have no control over others; we have control over ourselves. If we try to constantly improve ourselves, it is likely that the people around us will also benefit.
If I have many flaws, then no matter what I do during this festival, I will only cause problems for myself and people around me.

Impact of 7th pay commission

As soon as the 7th pay commission is approved, it would result in 24% hike in salaries for government employees. This means the budget deficit will increase. So government will have to raise taxes. Higher taxes cause growth to slow.
Since already India has high taxes, the government will also have to print currency to cover deficit. So inflation will rise.
As growth slows, the interest rates will have to be dropped to prevent systematic collapse.

Thus, the impact of 7th pay commission approval is

  • Inflation will rise
  • Taxes will rise
  • Growth will slow down
  • Interest rates will fall
  • Gold/Silver will rise
  • Stocks will fall
  • Real estate sales will fall further

If Indian government is interested in welfare of common people, then it will reject the 7th pay commission.

Salman Khan's rape comment

Salman Khan said, "Wrestlers fight once or twice in a real fight; during the shooting of Sultan, I had to the act 10 times. For 6 to 7 hours, either I am picking up or am throwing someone. So it was very difficult. When I used to walk out of that (wrestling) ring, it used to be actually like a raped woman walking out.".
Immediately, the media started attacking Salman. The attack was so intense that Salman and his father apologized for the comment, but the attacks continue.

There is nothing wrong in Salman's statement. There is no need for him to apologize, let alone his father. The media is wrong in attacking Salman before and after the apology.

Only Salman knows how he felt after a tough scene; Only a raped woman knows her feelings after the incident. Others can only guess about their feelings. They have no proof to prove anyone false. Not all actors would feel the same after a tough fight scene; probably not all women would feel the same after a rape (since the brutality varies in a huge spectrum). So why cannot Salman feel like some raped woman?

We should support Salman Khan and condemn those who attack him for his feelings. These attackers are sexist, think that only women suffer and deny tough-looking man the right to express his feelings.

Politics drives everything in India

A few months ago, BJP government decided to build a bullet train between Mumbai and Ahmedabad; even though it will be a financial disaster. Reference.
Why did BJP decide to build this bullet train?
The toll roads between Mumbai and Ahmedabad are controlled by BJP's political opponent Sharad Pawar. By building this bullet train, BJP wants to undercut the huge toll collected in cash (no taxes) by Sharad Pawar and thereby weaken him.
Why build the bullet train only till Mumbai, and not Pune? There is lot of traffic between Mumbai and Pune too.
The toll road between Mumbai and Pune is controlled by a BJP politician Gadkari. BJP wants the revenue (in cash with no taxes) received by its policians to remain intact.

Why is RBI governor Rajan being forced to quit?
Rajan was appointed by Chidambaram, a Congress politician. BJP does not want, anyone close to Congress, in an important position. So Rajan has been privately indicated that he should drop out of the race on his own; since he will anyway not receive any extension.
Rajan had done a reasonably good job as RBI governor. When currencies of many countries (Russia, Brazil, etc) were falling; Rajan's high interest rates ensured that Indian rupee was strong.
In India, performance does not dictate government decision; it is whom you know; with what political party are you associated with.

Hyperinflation or Debt default

The world economy has two options, ONLY TWO i.e.

  1. Hyperinflation or
  2. Default on debt.

Hyperinflation: World banks will keep dropping interest rates. In many coutries, interest rates will be near zero. Inflation will be high. People will spend currency as soon as possible, because the value of currency will fall fast. People holding cash, bonds, fixed deposits, etc will lose. Wealth will be transferred to people invested in real estate, stocks, gold, silver and other physical assets.

Default on Debt: Interest will rise dramatically. There will a worldwide depresstion. Stocks will fall. Currency invested in bods, fixed deposits, etc will be lost. Real estate will fall. People holding their wealth in stocks, real estate, fixed deposits, etc will lose. Wealth will be transferred to people holding cash in their hands, gold, silver, etc.

US, Canada, China India, etc and most countries, are currently on the path of hyperinflation; because interest rates have been falling. Should any country start raising interest rates, then it is on the path of Default of debt.

State of Indian economy

Here is what I expect in coming months?

There will be a deflation (falling prices) in areas of high debt and stocks i.e. stocks will fall; real-estate will fall in its effective price (i.e. price rises, if any, will be lesser than inflation rate).
The Indian government will continue reduce interest rates i.e. create more currency. This will cause inflation especially in essential goods and services.

So, to summarize, India (like many other countries) will have stagflation (slow growth with high inflation).

Emotional blindness

Being "Emotionally blind" means that you are unable to understand what other people are feeling. For instance, suppose you are talking about chemistry, a subject matter you are passionate about, to some of your friends. Suppose your friends are actually not interested in what you are saying, but you don't notice it. You cannot see that they are feeling bored of your monologue.

How is emotional blindness created?

  1. A newborn child is always innocent. Some religions blame a new born child by theories like re-incarnation or rebirth; but these theories have not yet been proven scientifically.
  2. Each child needs care, protection, security, warmth, skin contact, touching, caressing, tenderness, etc.
  3. These needs of the child are seldom sufficiently fulfilled; most adults exploit the needs of the child for they own ends. This child abuse has lifelong effects. Society takes the side of the adult and blames the child for what has been done to him/her. The victimization of the child has historically been denied and is still being denied today. This denial has made it possible for society to ignore the devastating effects of the victimization of the child for such a a long time.
  4. The child, when betrayed by his/her protectors and society, has no choice but to repress the trauma and to idealize the abuser. Repression leads to mental disorders like neuroses, psychoses, psychosomatic disorders and delinquency. In neuroses, the child's needs are repressed and/or denied; instead feelings of guilt are experienced. In psychoses, the mistreatment is transformed into a disguised illusory version. IN psychosomatic disorders, the pain of mistreatment is felt but the actual origins are concealed. Ub delinquency, the confusion, seduction and mistreatment of childhood are acted out again and again.
  5. A therapeutic recovery can be successful only if it is based on uncovering the truth about the patient's childhood, instead of denying that reality.
  6. The psychoanalytic theory of "infantile sexuality" is wrong. It actually protects the parent and reinforces society's blindness.
  7. Fantasies always serve to conceal or minimize unbearable childhood reality for the sake of child's survival; therefore the so-called invented trauma is a less harmful version of the real, repressed one. The fantasies, expressed in literature, art, fairy tales and dreams; often unconsciously convey early childhood experiences in a symbolic way. This symbolic testimony is tolerated in our culture thanks to society's chronic ignorance of the truth concerning childhood. If the import of these fantasies were understood, they would be rejected.
  8. A past crime cannot be undone by our understanding of the perpetrator's blindness and unfulfilled needs. New crimes, however, can be prevented, if the victims begin to see and be aware of what has been done to them.
  9. Therefore, the reports of victims will be able to bring about more awareness, consciousness and sense of responsibility in society at large.

Schizophrenia is curable, but not with drugs.

Schizophrenia is a mental problem. Common symptoms include false beliefs, unclear thinking, hearing voices, reduced social engagement and lack of motivation.

Schizophrenia is curable, but it not curable with drugs. Unfortunately, most psychiatrists give drugs to patients; making the problem worst. Schizophrenia is curable with therapy and counseling.

Schizophrenia is wide-spread. Many people suffer from the disease silently, when they don't have to. A documentary "Take these broken wings" explores this problem and recommends solutions. The documentary, of duration 1 hour 15 minutes, can be viewed here.

If you know anyone suffering from Schizophrenia, please pass them this documentary.

Why BJP will lose in coming state elections?

Four states will go for elections during the next couple of months. I think BJP will lose in almost all of them for the following reasons.

  • Excise duty on gold has caused jewelers to go on strike. This is inconvenience to millions.
  • Inflation remains high. Even though the price of oil has reduced dramatically, BJP has raised the taxes on oil in India to avoid passing all the benefits to public.
  • Budget did not lower taxes. BJP came to power on the agenda of better days, but it released a socialist budget that burdens the middle class.
  • Even though, inflation remains high; BJP government continues to lower interest rates.

What is our Society's priority?

On the social media, the popular item for last few days is "Kim Kardashian's partial nude photo".

I have nothing against someone posting a nude photo and others watching the same; but when something as irrelevant as a semi-nude phone is the most important item for most people, then it tells us a lot about our society.
It means most people are hollow. They find the best use of their time is to watch/discuss a semi-nude photo. Most people are not interested in improving themselves, solving some problems, teaching their kids, etc.

The future of most people is bleak. Our society will face lot of hardships in coming years.

Budget 2016 in India

A good budget

  • Reduces taxes
  • Privatizes government companies
  • Reduces bureaucracy and rules
  • Reduces subsidies and expenses to cut deficit

The current budget raises taxes. There is no privatization of major government companies e.g. BSNL, MTNL, Airports, railways, etc. There is an reduction in bureaucracy. There is no cut in subsidies. The expenses on items like Defence and irrigation has gone up. Subsidies like loan relief has risen. The deficit has risen.

A government, which keeps spending more than it earns, causes inflation and suffering for citizens. Certain small groups may benefit temporarily from this budget, but in the long run Indian economy will be hurt by this budget.

War drums are beating louder

Unrest in middle east is rising. Some countries (Syria, Russia, etc) are fighting ISIS. Some countries (Turkey, USA, Saudi Arabia, etc) are covertly aiding ISIS. ISIS is a puppet. Under the guise of ISIS, the short-term goal is to create violence, death and destruction.

The long-term goal is to replace nationalism with global government. To achieve this long-term goal, all existing systems (that do not fit this new model) need to be destroyed. On the top of the rubble, the "New World Order" will be built.

We can expect in near future:

  • More bombs will be dropped in middle east.
  • War will be blamed for economic woes in many counties.
  • Stocks will fall.
  • Interest rates will be lowered, raising inflation.
  • Governments will pass laws to restrict the freedom of people.
Prepare well.

Why is FED raising rates?

USA has been printing lots of dollars, under the guise of QE (Quantitative Easing). Many countries are dumping dollars and conducting trade outside the US$, to protect themselves from US$ tsunami. All the dollars being created are not being absorbed outside USA. Billions of dollars created, will now remain in USA. Inflation in USA will rise fast. Unrest will increase in USA if prices start rising rapidly.

FED has to slow down inflation in USA to extend the life of dollar. The only way inflation can be reduced to something manageable is to raise interest rates. So as countries keep abandoning the dollar, FED will keep raising interest rates in USA. If countries abandon dollar fast, interest rates will rise fast; if countries abandon dollar slowly, interest rates will rise slowly.

The rising interest rates will force USA into depression. Stocks and Real estate will fall. Ultimately, FED will have no choice but to abandon the interest rate rises. The dollar, as we know currently, will collapse. Banks will go bankrupt. Only Gold and Silver in your hands will protect your wealth.

Why is oil price dropping?

Here is my belief. I have no proof it, but it sounds very logical.

USA wants Assad out of Syria. Russia is aiding Assad. So to hurt Russia, USA made a deal with Saudi Arabia. You increase your oil production to maximum. Your losses will be compensated because you can go short in oil in derivatives market against USA.

Russia knows that oil price drop is possible because US $ is the world reserve currency and USA can print Trillions of $ to manipulate any market. The only way to reduce USA's power is by reducing the power of US $. So Russia and her friends (China) are making deals all over the world to trade in their local currencies, without using the US $.

As more and more deals are made outside US $, the demand for US $ is decreasing. The FED has no choice now but to raise interest rates to avoid hyper-inflation in USA.

As long as Assad is in power in Syria,

  • Oil price will remain below $50.
  • FED will keep increasing rates say 0.25% per quarter.
